Hairy Obesssions 5: Hairveda

I was planning to do a vlog of this review but I’m lazy and don’t want to. So I’m writing this one instead. I’ve got to do my “9 months natural” vlog at some point anyway.

Word of warning… It’s gonna be a long one…

So last week I got some Hairveda samples from Britishcurlies.co.uk.

Here’s what I got my hands on!

Sitrinillah – Deep Hair Conditioner
SitriNillah is perfect for conditioning and softening your hair after a protein treatment.” This means it’s perfect, if like me, you use “MegaTek”. Well I used it for a course of one month Sept/Nov, will probably go for another month in Jan.
Orange oil is gooood for your hair; I remember getting a free bottle of that essential oil when I ordered something elsewhere. And this has TONS of it. It smells very citrusy, but it’s nice.
Ingredients: Water, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin,Steryl Alcohol,Stearalkonium Chloride, Dimethyl Stearamine, Orange Oil, Orange Extract,Vanilla Extract,Lactic Acid, Phthalate Free Fragrance, Paraben Free Preservative.

Hairveda Whipped Creme Ends Hydration –Leave in conditioner

Whipped Cream is a 3 in1 Ends Hydration, Leave In & Moisturizer.
This was is said to be great as part of baggying, (shower capping wet hair after washing, whilst smothering it in yummy oils and conditioners – wash out after, or not depending on what you use) though I am not sure if it was this or the CoCasta Shikakai oil that made hair feel as soft as a feather.
Really does need a good shake, as it seems as though the oils separate.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Ricinus Communis ( Castor Oil), Sweet Almond Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter),Ceteryl Alcohol, Steryl Alcohol, Sunflower Oil, Allantoin, Isopropryl Palmitate, Emulsifying wax, Germall Plus, Light Fragrance.

Hairveda Whipped gelly – For bringing out curl pattern (kinda like KCCC[Kinky Curly Curling custard] but 2million times better)
“Whipped Gelly helps defines curls and waves for natural hair.”

I applied a little to my hair after I washed it (before it dried, and after the baggie) and made 5 VERY impressive ringlets! The site says “This product is great fro curly hair types and to smooth down edges. A great frizz tamer!” Dunno about the frizz taming, but I have 4A/4B type hair soo….

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis ( Aloe) Juice, Acrylates/C-10 Alkl Acrylates ( for gel texture), Glycerin ( for moisture), Persea Gratissima ( Avocado) Seed Oil, Pthalate Free Fragrance. Preservate - Free.
Smells like Tropical Mango.

Hairveda Whipped Green Tea Butter – A hair and body oil (semi solid)
This is rich mix of Green Tea extract & Almond Oil. I used this before I washed my hair in case I didn’t like the feel/it was too heavy, but it was perfect. However, I’m not too fond of the smell. It’s quite sweet but lingers and smells kinda frousy after a while. I try to CoWash every other day, but using this I felt like I HAD to CoWash.

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Fragrance

Hairveda Moist Condition 24.7 – a daily leave in conditioner
This is good for daily conditioner washes (CoWashing).
It’s rich with oils but not so heavy as to weigh your hair down.
The website says it can also be used as a light moisturizer, but feels weird using it as one.

Ingredients: Water Coconut oil, Hydronated Vegetable oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Dimethyl Stearamine, Lactic Acid, Germall Plus, Fragrance.

Hairveda CoCasta Shikakai oil – Multi-functioning hair/skin oil

It is said to promote healthy growth, soften, regulate sebum, strengthen, add shine & condition, which is a lot of things. Some sort of “Super oil”

“Our Liquid Gold is a medley of Nut Oils, with Henna, Amla, & Indian herbs that coat every strand of hair, protecting it from sun, wind, dust and pollution, giving your hair and scalp, nourishment and conditioning for long and lustrous, problem free hair.
According to Indian history, each ingredient we use is renowned for aiding in giving women soft beautiful locks! Use as a hot oil treatment, sealant for ends, scalp oil and more.”

If you’re not sold after that, you won’t be. I must say, I used it as part of my baggie after I washed my hair, and it did feel soft and fluffier than usual.

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulsis, Acacia Concinna Oil, Bacopa Monniera Oil, Emblica Officianalis Fruit Oil, Azadirachta Indica Seed Oil, Fragrance

Hairveda Noinah Thai Butter 4oz – Hair and body butter
This is a Thai Apple Butter packed with botanical & fruit ingredients. Perfect after a super hot shower (yes, yes, super hot showers are bad yadda yadda…) Supposedly for hair too, but not putting it in mine. Feels AH –MAY-ZING on the skin, even my mum was impressed and she’s pretty picky about lotions and potions.

Ingredients: Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower Seed Oil, Calendula Officialanls Flower Etract. Helian Thus Annus (Sunflower Extract Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chanrus Crispus (Carageenan Extract) Althaea Officianalis Root Extract. Phthalate Free Fragrance.

Madagascan Vanilla – Hand made soap.

“A Sweet & smooth blend of Olive Oil soap with Vanilla fragrance of Zanzibar.”

Sweet & smooth blend of Olive Oil soap with Vanilla fragrance of Zanzibar.
I’m more of a “body wash” type person as I’m not to fond of the “streaky” feeling soap bars leave on me, (except for the Dove soap bars, they’re lurvely) I sort of don’t feel quite clean with a soap bar due to the residue. The Madagascan Vanilla unfortunately gives me that feeling too. Will be using it just not to waste it. 
The fella says it smells like Ethiopians, which is better than my initial thought of “incense.”

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Palm Oil, Soy Oil, Fresh Goat Milk, Sunflower Oil, Shea Butter, Phthalate Free Fragrance. May Also Contain natural Vitamin E & Stearic Acid (vegetable source).

Conclusion: Hairveda could very well become my staple. Hairveda's price points are from £1.75 - £7.00ish. are 100% natural and in some cases Organic (beware, they have a shelf life)

Growing obsession: JET

Hmph!

So the deadline has passed, I managed to get my application in nice n speedily and I feel pretty confident about it all round. My biggest problem now is forgetting about it. It doesn't help that I spend all day cruising the forums, or that people keep asking me about it, so I am going to have to take some hard core steps to get it out of my mind.

1. I have a Job, this should keep me busy... but alas, here I am, blogging... at work...

2. It's Christmas this month, so in about a week, I should be busying myself with wrapping and the like, i bought 80% of all the major pressies already so spending money wont help either.

3. Cata comes out on the 7th... but I have no motivation to play up til then, nor will I be buying the game the instant it comes out... poop :'(

4.Vlogs... yeah, I said it... VLOGS. There has been a fair amount of talk on VLoggers over the last few days and I want in on the action. Said vlogs will be about hair care of course, but even so, should keep my busy momentarily. How very
exciting! Oh speaking of which, I might do a "Hairveda" review, as i got their samples in a few days ago.... YAY ME!

5.Watch TV. I'm not a big TV fan, but a few series' have piqued my interest. Greys Anatomy (of course!) Fringe and Dexter. I'm considering Day Of Our Lives, as it was recommended...

Yeah apart from that I'm stumped.
